many years, Liberia was made vulnerable by corrupt governance, internal fighting, and crooked business intervention. The country that
remains- though poor in the eyes of many- is rich in spirit. A new environmental consciousness is taking hold in the nation, an understanding
that the natural world is something to be valued and protected, not destroyed and abused. As Liberians take charge of their environmental
and national destiny, they will need the support of the international community to achieve their aims. SCNL is proud of its history of close
cooperation with world leaders in conservation, as well as the support it receives from Liberians, Africans, and people from throughout the world
in achieving its goals of a healthier Liberia.
